T.Loop: bringing flexibility to early-stage data center planning with GanttPRO
“With GanttPRO, the workflow is moving along well and quite quickly, so I check the planning tool every day to keep track of where we are, which tasks are coming up next week, and how any delays could affect dependent tasks or milestones.”
A story about a data center company adapting early-stage plans with GanttPRO’s flexible rescheduling, custom budget tracking, and private project links.

Summary
Company Background
What does your company focus on?
T.Loop is a company dedicated to designing, building, and operating data centers that provide future-proof, high-density computing power, heat production and grid services. The focus is on developing energy-efficient solutions that reuse excess heat and help reduce carbon emissions.
Mattias Långström, Data Energy Center Architect, describes how GanttPRO is integrated into the early stages of data center development, as well as customer installation and integration projects.
As we scale, GanttPRO can provide a good starting point for new projects and we’re looking forward to expanding it internally.
Struggle
How did your approach look before GanttPRO?
"We used to have Microsoft Project as our main tool for sharing internally and externally with partners. But it was too expensive, not very user-friendly, and required a desktop application, which I see as an outdated way of working.
In the early planning stages of developing a data center site, we would normally use Excel and PowerPoint for presentations. But as the dates change frequently, managing all the dependencies this way becomes difficult. So I started searching online for a more professional timeline. I found GanttPRO, tried it out, and we started using it."
Solution
“Dates are rarely fixed in the early stages, and GanttPRO makes adapting to changes way more flexible. Dependencies allows us to see how each adjustment affects the rest of the schedule without having to update everything manually, and the critical path – which activities could affect the main completion date and need attention now.”
“For tracking total budget for each workstream and understanding whether we’re staying within it, we use custom fields instead of separate budget setup. It’s also great to be able to have Swedish kronor as the project currency.”
“As we have external partners as project participants, sharing updates is essential. The shared private link is very useful in this regard since it allows to show only the relevant sections instead of giving access to the entire project.”
Impact
What does your work look like now with GanttPRO?
T.Loop started using GanttPRO in 2025 and plans to roll it out more widely as the company grows.
“With GanttPRO, the workflow is moving along well and quite quickly, so I check the planning tool every day to keep track of where we are, which tasks are coming up next week, and how any delays could affect dependent tasks or milestones.
Also, as we scale, I think GanttPRO can provide a good starting point for new projects and we’re looking forward to expanding it internally.”
